Yes, its been 78 days since that day in January when I was Rif'd (Reduction in Force) - due to no fault of my own . The CEO of - - - Microsystems asked me at one time, "So have you blogged?"
At that time, I was so busy doing my job, I had not time to blog .... well now (thanks to you JS) I have plenty of time.
A lot has happened over the last 78 days and blogging is new to me so I'll catch you up in the next few posts .
Check back soon as I journey into the uncharted waters of the unemployed (I have never been unemployed since my college days in 1970's). I have learned a lot in the past 78 days - my hope is that my "Lessons Learned" may benefit those who find themselves as I did - Over 50 and Unemployed.

Joe, I understand your pain.. I hope someone like you finds this to be actually a blessing in disguise. A person like you (so it sounds) can in time help other people, who you never know who you might meet. This is America and our minds ARE the best in the World!!! I await to read more about the lessons learned. Hey maybe ask CNN for a spot, they do a pretty good job of trying to inform the public...Keep up the good work...
Joe, I think I worked for the same company you did . . . ;^) But I was whacked in 2006, and I'm 10 years older than you. So you can imagine how I'm feeling these days - and wondering whether "dumbing down" my resume might be a good approach.
